Rob West has been an appraiser with the Stouffer & Associates team in the Boerne office since 2012. Rob’s career experience includes working in a management role on his family’s 17,000 acre ranch in north Val Verde County. This experience provided a first-hand understanding of what defines value as it pertains to rural property. Additionally, Rob has held a real estate salesperson’s license since 1986 and a Broker’s license since 2000. He started his real estate career with nationally-known Grubb and Ellis Commercial Real Estate in 2000, specializing in Investment Property disposition and acquisition. He also served as part owner of JVL Land Development Marketing and brokered farm and ranch real estate. Along with more traditional real estate career paths, Rob was also lead auctioneer for CRE Auction Group, a commercial real estate auction enterprise out of Southlake, Texas.
Since joining the Stouffer team in 2012, Rob has worked on a variety of appraisal assignments that leverage his knowledge of both rural and commercial property assets. Property types appraised during this period range from land appraisals on large acreage ranches and residential subdivisions to commercial investment properties such as retail, office, industrial, hospitality, and institutional assets. Rob has also appraised partial ownerships for undivided interest determination, conservation easements and estate gifting designations.
Rob has lived in Boerne since 2003 and knows the Texas hill country market. A strong farm and ranch background, refined commercial analytical experience and good market knowledge are some of the skill sets that have served him well as he continues in the appraisal field.
In his spare time, he enjoys working at the family ranch in Val Verde County, and any and all outdoor activities. The rest of his spare time is spent being a good husband and father.
