
Kelly Thomas
Kelly Thomas is an appraiser as a part of the Houston team. Kelly graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Upon graduation, she began her career as a middle school math and science teacher. In 2000, Kelly moved from Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Houston, Texas. In 2006, Kelly made the move from teaching to commercial real estate appraisal. In 2011, she obtained her state certification as a general appraiser. In November of 2023, Kelly joined Stouffer & Associates, LLP.
Kelly typically performs between 80 and 100 appraisals per year for various clients including banks, mortgage lenders, credit unions, individuals, partnerships, corporations, real estate developers, and attorneys. These appraisals are utilized for a variety of uses to include loan underwriting, foreclosures, estate valuations for divorce purposes and tax protest.
In addition to appraisal work with Stouffer & Associates, Kelly also is a licensed property tax consultant. As a tax consultant, Kelly represents property owners in hearings with the ARB and arbitrations. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and watching baseball with her two sons.
