Ian M. Grigar is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and Certified General Appraiser with 15+ years of continuous valuation experience. Ian joined Stouffer & Associates in 2021 and serves as the Managing Director of the Dallas-Fort Worth office location.

Ian’s valuation experience includes providing clients with Market Value, Fair Market Value, Disposition Value, Insurable Value, Fair Value and Going Concern Value. Services provided include analysis and preparation of appraisal reports and consulting assignments in 31 states for internal planning, Stark compliance, financial and tax reporting (purchase price allocation), ad valorem property taxes, a fairness opinion, financing, and various feasibility/market studies. Ian has been called upon throughout his career to provide appraisal services in federal bankruptcy court and for ad valorem tax protest purposes. Additionally, Ian’s valuation work has been reviewed and approved by three of the largest international accounting firms.

Ian began appraising real estate in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2006. Prior to joining Stouffer & Associates, Ian was an appraiser at a national full-service valuation and transaction advisory firm. In addition to lending institutions and appraisal management companies, clients served have included some of the largest health systems, educational institutions, law firms and REITs in the United States. Ian has managed a financial reporting engagement to provide allocated values for a portfolio of properties with a combined value exceeding $2.75 billion, as well as numerous pre- and post-transaction valuation services with values exceeding $100 million. Ian has also provided recommendations to outside and in-house counsel for various complex lease and purchase negotiations.

In his spare time, Ian stays busy with his wife attending the sporting events of their children.
