Blair T. Stouffer, MAI, SRA
Blair T. Stouffer established Stouffer & Associates in 1985. A native of San Antonio, Blair followed in his late father’s footsteps into the real estate appraisal industry in 1978. Prior to that, he attended the University of Texas at Austin where he was shortstop on the National Championship Team in 1975. He subsequently played professional baseball for the Texas Rangers Baseball club for a four year stint before starting his career as a real estate appraiser. Blair is the managing partner for Stouffer & Associates, LLP and is responsible for the oversight of operations in all three locations.
Blair received his SRPA designation from the Society of Real Estate Appraisers in 1985 and his MAI designation form the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers in 1988. Mr. Stouffer has served on various committees within both organizations which include being past Vice President, past secretary, past treasurer, and chairman of and the Professional Practice Committee of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He has also been a member of the Review and Counseling Committee of the Appraisal Institute as well as serving on the Admissions Committee for many years. He is a past President of the San Antonio Chapter of the Appraisal Institute (1994). Due to the merger between the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and the Appraisal Institute in 1991, Mr. Stouffer currently is noted as having the MAI designation and the SRA designation (SRA designation taking the place of SRPA designation)
In addition to his expertise in real estate valuation, Blair has also testified as an expert witness in both State and Federal Court on behalf of both debtors and creditors.
Blair enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheryl, their grown children and their five grandchildren. He has traded his baseball swing for a golf swing and enjoys spending an occasional afternoon on the golf course.
